The Archives Gallery and Repository tour tells the story of HSBC in Hong Kong and the Asia-Pacific region through rare objects, virtual galleries and interactive displays. After experiencing the Gallery, we will go 'behind the scenes' to our repository to talk about the work of the archives team and of course view more archives and art.
The collections feature a wide range of historically significant items:
- Annual reports and minute books
- Historic banknotes and photographs
- Films, architectural plans, and more
Together, they tell powerful stories of the social and economic history of the communities HSBC has served across generations.
Many records have been lost to war, natural disasters, and time. Few archives are truly complete — making the surviving materials even more valuable. Each item is a rare witness to history, preserved for future generations.
