Local Visit - Longevity and Virtues: Birthday Celebrations of the Qing Emperors and Empress Dowagers

This exhibition is a highlight programme to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the HKSAR. About 210 items/sets of precious exhibits associated with the grand birthday celebrations of Emperor Kangxi, Empress Dowager Chongqing (mother of Qianlong), Emperor Qianlong, Emperor Jiaqing and Empress Dowager Cixi, from the collection of The Palace Museum will be displayed. The exhibits will showcase the ritual system related to the birthday celebrations of the Qing emperors and empress dowagers, and the rich culture of ancient Chinese birthday celebration.

Admission: Free of charge for RAS members & accompanying guests
